At the Elite Dancers Academy, our Southfields classes at St Barnabas Church offer high-quality children’s dance training in a warm, professional and supportive environment. Our dance classes in Southfields include RAD ballet, Acro, Commercial Dance and competitive team training, giving children the opportunity to explore different styles as they grow. Younger dancers can begin with Demi Doves Toddler Ballet on Wednesdays and Thursdays, before moving into RAD Pre-Primary Ballet, RAD Primary Ballet and the graded RAD ballet syllabus.
For ballet students, the Southfields timetable offers a clear pathway through the RAD grades. RAD Primary Ballet runs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, while RAD Grade 1, Grade 2 and Grade 3 Ballet take place on Tuesdays. Older students can continue their training with RAD Grade 4 Ballet on Mondays, RAD Grade 5 Ballet on Thursdays, and higher-level classes including Intermediate Foundation and Advanced Foundation on Wednesdays.
Alongside ballet, our Southfields Acro class runs on Mondays and helps children build strength, flexibility, balance and control through carefully structured progressions. Acro is a popular choice for energetic children who enjoy working on skills such as handstands, cartwheels, walkovers and floor-based tricks, while still learning how to connect these movements safely into dance.
Commercial Dance also takes place on Mondays for students aged 11 to 18 years. This upbeat, performance-focused class is ideal for older children and teens who enjoy current music, strong routines and expressive performance.
Southfields is also an important training base for our competitive dancers. Our Mini Comp Team trains on Mondays, Pre-Comp Team trains on Wednesdays and Ballet Squad trains on Thursdays. These invitation-only classes give selected students the chance to train in a more focused environment, developing performance skills, discipline, teamwork and strong technique while working towards competitions, shows and special events.
