Why Choose Elite Dancers Academy in Wimbledon?
Our classes at Christ Church Wimbledon are ideal for children and young dancers who are ready to build strong technique, develop new skills and train in a focused dance school environment. This Wimbledon venue offers a strong mix of RAD ballet, Acro, private lessons and competition team training, with classes running across Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
For ballet students, Christ Church Wimbledon provides a clear pathway for those already working through the RAD grades. Monday classes include Grade 2 Ballet, Grade 3 Ballet and Grade 4 Ballet, giving students regular training as they progress through the syllabus. On Tuesdays, older students can continue with Grade 5 Ballet, while Wednesday evenings include Intermediate Foundation Ballet for dancers with the right level of experience. Private lessons are also available by request on Monday and Tuesday evenings, which can be useful for students preparing for exams, auditions or additional technical support.
Christ Church is also one of our key Wimbledon venues for Acro training. On Fridays, children can begin with Mini Acrobatics from 3 to 6 years, before moving into Secondary Acrobatics for ages 7 to 10. More experienced students can progress into Intermediate Acrobatics, Advanced Acrobatics and Acro Squad. Tuesday Acro classes also support intermediate and advanced students, with entry requirements including walkovers for Intermediate Acrobatics and unassisted aerials for Advanced Acrobatics. These classes help dancers build strength, flexibility, control and confidence, while learning acrobatic skills safely and progressively.
The venue is also an important home for our competition teams. On Wednesdays, Miss Yasmin teaches Junior Competition Team and Teen Competition Team, giving selected students the opportunity to train at a higher level and work towards performances, competitions and special events. These invitation-only classes help dancers develop discipline, commitment, teamwork and stage experience.
Families value the opportunities available through Elite. One parent wrote that the Elite Dancers Academy offers “exciting opportunities for students”, including the annual show performed at the RAD and competition teams where children gain experience dancing at different venues, including the Dance World Cup. The same review described Elite as “an exciting, inspiring place to be” and recommended the school for dancers at any stage of their journey.
