Why Choose the Elite Dancers Academy in Turnham Green?
ArtsEd is now the main Chiswick home for the Elite Dancers Academy, with a wide range of classes for children and teens who want strong, enjoyable dance training in West London. The timetable brings together RAD ballet, Acro, Jazz, Lyrical, Commercial Dance, pointe work, private lessons and competition team training, all from one well-known Chiswick venue.
Saturday is a full training day at ArtsEd, with classes for different ages and levels. Younger children can start with Demi Doves Toddler Ballet, before moving into RAD Pre-Primary Ballet and RAD Primary Ballet when they are ready for a more structured class. Older ballet students can continue through RAD Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3 and Grade 4 Ballet, with RAD Intermediate Ballet available for students with the right experience. Pointe Work also runs during the week, giving more advanced dancers time to strengthen their technique and work carefully on this important stage of classical ballet training.
ArtsEd is also a strong choice for students who enjoy more than one style of dance. On Saturdays, children can take Junior Jazz and Lyrical, Senior Jazz and Lyrical, and Junior Conditioning and Technique. These classes are ideal for dancers who enjoy expressive movement, musicality, stretching, strength work and learning choreography. For older students, Tuesday evenings include Lyrical Dance followed by Commercial Dance, making it a great option for teens who want energetic classes with strong routines and current music.
Acro training also forms an important part of the ArtsEd timetable. Students can work through Secondary Acrobatics, Intermediate Acro and Advanced Acrobatics, with each class helping dancers develop control, flexibility, power and confidence. As students progress, they can work towards more advanced skills such as walkovers and aerials when they are ready.
ArtsEd Chiswick is also used for competition team training, including Junior Competition, Competition Team Tech and Teen Competition Team. These invitation-only classes are for dancers who are ready to commit to a higher level of training and enjoy working as part of a team.
A parent of one of our Chiswick students wrote: “My 14 year old joined a few classes this term. She felt welcomed straight away with a friendly group of other students and lovely teachers.” She also described the classes as fun, with “great music and exciting choreography.”
