As our first term in Southfields comes to a close, we’re reflecting on what has been a truly exciting start for the newest branch of the Elite Dancers Academy. From the very first week, the energy and enthusiasm from local families has made this new venue feel like home.
Located at St Barnabas Church, our Southfields venue launched with a strong programme of ballet classes for all ages and has already expanded to include acro classes and a brand new pre-competition squad, giving students even more opportunities to grow as confident, versatile dancers.
We’re proud to now offer a wide variety of dance classes for kids in Southfields, all delivered by experienced teachers from the Elite Dancers Academy, who bring professionalism, warmth, and high standards to every session.
New Classes Bringing New Opportunities
This term saw the introduction of two brand new classes:
- Secondary Acro (Ages 7–10): a brilliant way for children to build strength, flexibility, and control through a dynamic mix of dance and gymnastic floor work.
- Pre-Competition Team (Ages 10+): the very first entry point for competitive dance in Southfields. For dancers interested in developing the skills required to represent the school.
These additions mark an exciting step forward. While ballet remains at the heart of our timetable, these new classes reflect the Elite Dancers Academy’s ongoing commitment to offering well-rounded, high-quality training for young dancers.

A Warm Welcome from the Southfields Community
We’ve been genuinely touched by the warm reception from the Southfields families. It has been a pleasure getting to know our new students and seeing the progress they’ve made in just one term. The enthusiasm in every class has been wonderful to witness. Change can’t always be the easiest thing so we wanted to thank you all for working with us as we transitioned the timetable to the Elite framework.
Looking Ahead: New Developments for Our Youngest Dancers
As we plan for next term, we’re thrilled to welcome Miss Jess to the Southfields team. A senior teacher at the Elite Dancers Academy and a long-standing member of our school, Jess has built a hugely successful Saturday morning programme in Streatham and now brings her expertise to Southfields.
More exciting news to come: Miss Jess is working closely with Jack and Miss Alice to launch an exciting new phase for our baby and toddler classes. More info to follow!
